WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Tips for a successful outing

BLUE FENCE FARMS GUIDELINES:

Preparing for Your Visit

Wear proper shoes or sandals, preferably closed toes. The farm rows are grass and the ground has some sloped, uneven and rocky places. Be careful as you walk, as we are not responsible for personal injury.

Dress appropriately for the weather. Sunscreen, a hat or shade umbrella, and perhaps bug spray can help make your time on the farm more pleasurable. There are insects and pollinators in the flower fields, who normally coexist peacefully with people.

Staying hydrated with water for your personal comfort is advised, whether you bring your own or purchase bottled water onsite.

At this time, no pets of any kind are allowed. Please do not bring animals with you to the farm. Service animals are welcome.

While Choosing Flowers

Please be respectful of our property. Any flowers that you cut are yours, and should be purchased. Please help keep things clean, and do not leave any trash in our field. Leaves are fine to strip from the bloom stems and leave on paths to be mulched. Please cut your blooms from the stems and do not pull sunflowers from the ground.

Do not leave any personal items unattended on the farm, since we are a public venue. Blue Fence Farms in not responsible for any personal items lost, broken, stolen, or left behind.

Respect and Protect our Family Experience

We are family friendly, and love to see small children in the field! Please do not let them carry or handle the snips and keep the children with you at all times. The flower field isn't a playground, so please don't let little ones run freely, since they could injure themselves or other visitors. If we see unsupervised children that are destroying flowers or property, we will kindly ask you to leave.

No one under the age of 18 without adult supervision.

No smoking or vaping on the property. No alcohol, drugs, or persons "under the influence."

As a family activity location, please no profanity or inappropriate behavior. We reserve the right to remove anyone behaving inappropriately and disrupting the peace of the fields.

While Documenting your Memories

No drones are allowed to fly on our property or in our airspace.

Social media photos: if you post photo memories of your visit on social media, we request tagging @bluefencefarms or otherwise crediting our location on social media formats.

Photo taking activities should not block any areas from other customers visiting, or disturb their experience in any way. Please respect and be aware of other visitors and what is occurring around you.

No professional or commercial photography/videography on the grounds, unless authorized and prepaid in advance. Any form of unauthorized, disruptive, or inappropriate photography will be asked to leave and escorted from the farm

Please Note

Please remember that we are at the mercy of weather and animals, so some blooms may not be available. Sunshine, heat, and rainfall levels all impact the height of various varieties and expected mass bloom times. Each storm does impact our fields, and sometimes causes flower damage. We recommend that you not procrastinate regarding your visit. That said, we provide three succession plantings to grow fresh blooms for you throughout our growing season. We also do not use chemicals on our fields, to better protect all of our health.
